Repair Work on the 1988 Eagle 20 serial number 007
Front Drivers Defroster motor went out .
Bent up Resonator and tail pipe from loader experience
All bumpers are off waiting to be replaced ..so we clean
We need to remove the Hydraulic pump so we decided to clean everything around
that work area too.
Then, we decided to clean the luggage bays also.
Re-straightening the frame tubing behind tailgate
The knocking noise was coming from the Hydraulic pump
that runs the cooling fan and condenser fan .
A bolt was hitting the pump pulley . That also made it sound
like a rod knocking .It was terrible until we re-bent the frame and it all went
However we did notice the hydraulic pump making some light noise . I think
someone thought it was going to go and one day someone moved it with the front
loader and from then on everyone thought it had a loud rod knocking ..
The first time we cranked it ...it fired on the first
revolution .. but it was so load in the knocking noise 3 guys ran over to shut
it off before a piston came through the side and made a mess on the floor.
It fooled some of my old timers too....
but I won the bet ..It didn't quite sound like a rod to me ..
Found ID plate to indicate new engine in 2002 ..this engine has very low miles.
I know it runs as perfect as a new one can .
Exhaust pipes bent in by front end loader
Removed front and rear bumpers and bumper blades
Found square tubing frame bent in rear behind tailgate..
Removed sign frame from sides of bus
Bad stainless bumpers needing to be replaced or repaired
Rear bumper and tailgate damage
